Program Policies & Terms

Effective Date: 12/27/2025
These policies apply to all programs, events, and services offered by The Work Lounge. By enrolling in any program or event, participants agree to the terms below.

Program Structure

All paid programs are sold by session. A session typically runs approximately 12 weeks. Enrollment does not auto-renew. Participants must re-enroll for each new session (Spring, Summer, Fall). Dates, times, programming, and pricing may change between sessions.

Payments & Billing

By enrolling in a paid program, participants authorize The Work Lounge to charge the payment method on file according to the selected payment option.

Monthly Payment Plans: If a monthly payment plan is selected, the participant authorizes three (3) installment payments. The first payment is charged at enrollment. Remaining payments are charged approximately 30 and 60 days after the initial payment. Payment timing is determined by the payment processor. Monthly payment plans are installment agreements, not subscriptions. Enrollment represents a commitment to the full session.

Pay-in-Full Option: Participants may choose to pay the full session cost upfront. Pay-in-full options include a 5% discount where offered. The full amount is charged at enrollment.
Failed Payments: Failed payments may be reattempted automatically. Continued failure to resolve payment may result in loss of access. Outstanding balances remain the responsibility of the participant.

Refund Policy

Participant-Initiated Refunds: Refund requests may be made up to 72 hours before the official program start date. Requests must be submitted in writing. If approved, payments made are refunded, remaining scheduled payments are canceled, and program access is removed. Refund requests made less than 72 hours before the official program start date will not be honored.

No Refunds After Program Start: Once a program has started, no refunds or partial refunds are provided. Missed sessions are not refundable.

Minimum Enrollment Cancellations: Some programs require a minimum number of participants to run. Enrollment minimums are reviewed no later than forty-eight (48) hours before the official program start date. If minimum enrollment is not met, the program will not run, all payments collected will be refunded, and any remaining scheduled payments will be canceled. Participants will be notified of cancellation prior to the program start date.

Attendance (In-Person Only)

All programs are in-person only. Attendance is tracked via in-person sign-in.

Absence Limits (Strict Caps):

  • For 6-session programs, participants may miss no more than one (1) session. Missing two (2) or more sessions results in removal without refund.

For 12-session programs, participants may miss no more than two (2) sessions. Missing three (3) or more sessions results in removal without refund.

Missed Sessions & Make-Ups

If a participant misses a session: daytime participants may attend an evening session, and evening participants may attend a daytime session, subject to availability. Make-up sessions must occur within two (2) weeks of the missed session and must be within the same session term. If a make-up is not completed within the two-week window, the absence remains. Missed sessions do not carry over, generate credits, or extend the program.

Late Arrival Policy

A participant is considered late if they arrive more than ten (10) minutes after the scheduled start time.
First Late Arrival: One-time warning for the session term. Not counted as an absence. Does not count toward attendance credit. Participant may remain.

Second and Subsequent Late Arrivals: Count as an absence. Participant may remain, but the session does not count toward attendance and does not qualify as a make-up session. Late arrivals counted as absences may be made up within the two-week make-up window.

Early Departure: Leaving before the majority of the session has occurred counts as an absence. Attendance is binary: present or absent.

Removal for Non-Attendance

If a participant exceeds the allowed number of absences, they may be removed from the program. No refund will be issued. Any remaining installment payments remain due. Access to future sessions is revoked. Removal decisions are final. If a participant exceeds the allowed number of absences, they may be removed from the program. No refund will be issued. Any remaining installment payments remain due. Access to future sessions is revoked. Removal decisions are final.

Spring Break Pause

There will be no sessions held during the week of March 9–13 due to Spring Break. No absences are recorded and no make-ups are required for this scheduled pause.

Conduct & Access

Participants are expected to engage respectfully and follow shared space expectations. The Work Lounge reserves the right to revoke access without refund for behavior that disrupts the community or violates these standards.

Acknowledgment

By enrolling in any program or event, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these policies.
